pleae help! b2 getting married to green card.

Hello, everybody.

I am from Ukraine and I have a b2 visa for 5 years multiple entry. My boyfrend is Peruvian, he just got a Green card and we were planning to get married in US, so he can request a Green Card for me.
But after i read some info on internet I have lots of doubts if thats possible.
Please, if anybody knows how does it works, if I will be able to apply for green card, or do I have to wait 5 years until he will become a citizen? And do I have to leave the contry after my 6 month length of stay will finish?

If you and your boyfriend get married, he could submit a petition for you which would enable you to apply for a greencard through adjustment of status if you remain in the U.S. The most recent visa bulletin indicates a wait of about 5 years, which is also the residency requirement for naturalization.

My best advice is to consult with a good immigration attorney. I would happy to meet with you to discuss this further.
