Oh okay, I thought you had contacted your congressman because you didn't
like to wait that long for an interview, but if you hadn't received any
NOA at all, and then when you finally received it it had given you a 25
month wait, then yeah, I would've contacted the congressman too.
My timeline for usenet posters who can't see my sig-line:
2003
November 26 ... AOS filed
- it will take 12-15 months to get an interview, 3-6 months to get
EAD, 1 week to get AP
December 4 .... AP granted, good for multiple entries, expires
in one year
2004
January 10 .... AOS NOA (dated january 8)
- processing time: 15 months. Notice of interview not to be expected
before April 2, 2005
January 13 .... Fingerprint Notification arrives (dated january 5)
January 20 .... Fingerprinting. Also went to SS office and re-filed
for SSN January 26 .... SSN card arrives in the mail
January 27 .... EAD letter arrives: interview appointment february 9
February 9 .... EAD granted
So far, everything has gone on according to their timeline without a
hitch (meaning: I in fact received my AP whithin 1 week and my EAD
whithin 3 months), so I am expecting to hear from them come April
next year...
