I somehow doubt it (unless it was Australia) since each country is
responsible for it's own borders and doesn't need to share information
with others or get agreement from them, plus many countries don't use
electronic systems and just like lots of paper.

I would assume it's for cases like this example where someone does
something dodgy and hides it that Australia has the option to
revoke the visa.

If your solicitor wanteds a fortune to get copies certified it could
work out cheaper to get a new passport and just get one page certified
than getting the stamps in an old passport certified (certainly for me
