Jeeze, never in the past few years have I seen so many people posting
what they're including in their I-485 packages. The instructions are
pretty clear - as long as you've got what they say, there's not much
for us to add

Hey - I am preparing for filing and this is helpful for me. You never
know who may want to confirm and learn from other's experience!

Just curious, I didn't see where these documents had to be included in
the I-130 instructions. Is it required or did you just decide to
include them on your own?

You are correct, the items you put in Bold are not required until the
AOS interview stage.

The most current version of the I-130 asks for new types of
documentation besides the marriage certificate.

above, you should submit one or more of the following types of
documentation that may evidence that bonafides of your marriage:
1) Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or
2) A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or
3) Documentation showing co-mingling of financial resources; or
4) Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and
your spouse together; or
5) Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal
knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship (Each
affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of
birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship to
the petitioner of beneficiary, if any, and complete information and
details explaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of
your marriage); or
5) Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an
ongoing marital union.

must have just changed. The old form was valid until 1/31/07. Guess
I'll have to add a few items to my package.

Hi:

Notionally speaking, the case is considered properly filed is on right
form, it is signed and the proper fee is submitted. If things are
missing other than the magic three, then an RFE is to issue. However,
DHS does not always follow the rule.

DHS keeps talking about the idea of waiving interviews on well
documented cases which are clearly approvable. I've had it happen a few
times on cases involving parents of USC or children of USC's. Never on
a marriage case through. And I was completely surprised every time it
happened. Go figure.
