Default OnTemporary work permit in Canada and applying for PR

Hi

Iam considering immigrating to canada and yet after going through
these discussion groups and CIC website along with all the provincial
websites I realized iam still having questions unanaswered. I hope to
get some clarification from experts out there:

1. If I enter canada on a temporary work visa , can i apply for PR
from within canada and if so which canadian embassy will i have to
file my application?

2. on CIC Website one can see the following "
You cannot immigrate with a work permit. If you want to come and live
in Canada as a permanent resident based on your work skills or
experience, see if you qualify for the Skilled Worker Program"

Does that mean if i enter canada on a temporary work permit i cannot
apply for Canadian PR ?

3. Considering it is possible to apply for canadian PR after I landed
in canada on a temporary workpermit , is there a time limit on when I
can appy for PR ? that is do i have to wait for one long year before I
can apply for PR?

4. While Iam on a temporary work permit Can the employer nominate me
for a pnp program of the province?

5. Due to the nature of IT Consulting if I were working at a client in
a province that supports PNP can i still have my employer ( whose
primary busienss is not in the province)to nominate me for PNP in the
province of the client ?

6. Considering if I cannot apply for PR while iam on a temporary work
permit can i choose to land in canada as a Intra company transferee?
if this is the case how will it affectmy canadian PR Process ?

7. My wife is pregnant and wondering if i come in on a temporary work
visa will i have any problems such as joining her in hospital etc..?
(Non financial)

Any help/advice would be a great help

Yes you can apply for PR from within Canada. You can apply for either
New Delhi or Buffalo. If applying to Buffalo you will need to have
valid US visa to enter in case of interview.

It means that work permit NOT EQUAL TO immigration visa.

You can apply for PR as long as you have atleast 12 months of VALID VISA
status remaining at the time of application.

Not Sure about that.

I don't think this is possible. Please verify with the PNP program.

No problems joining her. You will not have healthcare coverage for 3
months though.
