Argh, I'm sure it's nerve wracking, but take a deep breath.
First, start at the instruction page:
How Do I Remove The Conditions On Permanent Residence Based On Marriage?
http://tinyurl.com/344h44
What if I am Late in Applying to Remove the Conditions on Residence?
The Form I-751 can be filed after the 90-day period if you can prove
in writing to the director of the Service Center that there was good
cause for failing to file the petition on time. The director has the
discretion to approve the petition and restore your permanent
resident status.
So draft a short letter saying something like 'I misunderstood the
instructions'.
I would not make an InfoPass appt--they won't be able to tell you
anything.
All you can do is the best you can do and deal with the outcome as it
happens.
If you don't get an extension letter within a month of sending I-751 in,
then you have something to discuss at an InfoPass appt.
Other late filers have posted around in the past; you are not on a list
of people to get picked up and detained next week, if past experience is
any guide.
