Default Obtaining Visa for our new baby!!!

Hi,

Can anybody help on this one!! We have our PR visas which were
issued in 2005. We now have a new addition to our family and need to
arrange his visa.

Is there a specific form that needs to be completed (i.e. Form 1022
change of circumstances)? How do we apply for his visa?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

You need to apply for a subclass 101 Child visa. See booklet 2 on
www.immi.gov.au for full details. You'll need a medical but the good
news is they're processed in a short period.

Cheers,

Did you validate your visas before the baby arrived?

(presumably the baby was born outside Australia).

Thanks for the replies George, Jeremy,

Yes, the baby was born outside Australia and we have already validated
our visas.

Thanks

Then getting a child migration visa should be straightforward if the
child is healthy, however you will need to pay a new fee. See

Thanks Jeremy,

I now have all the back up forms ready to read, complete and send back.
Here we go again!!! Just when you think you have completed enough forms
and applications for a lifetime, you find a few more to complete.

DIMIA do not miss a trick, the additional fee is quite high!!

Cheers

It's the standard migration fee, no more, no less.

You could have avoided it by having had your child born in Australia,
then it would have been a citizen by birth (because PR parents) and no
need for any kind of visa.

Consider yourselves fortunate that the process is straightforward,
Canada insists that at least one parent (if a PR) be *living* in the
country in order to allow a child a migration visa. As did Australia
before November 2003.

Hi
We have a new baby and planning to apply for child PR. we had done
initial entry in Nov2004 and outside Australia since then.Need
assistance on
Q 13 of 40CH "Do you have the sole legal right to determine where the
child shall live or to remove the child from their home country"
Answer to this is yes as we are the parents of child but form says if
answer yes the "Attach a certified copy of court order giving you sole
legal right to determine where the child shall live or the right to
remove the child from the country"

Would it be sufficient if we type declaration on plane paper and
both of sign.

Yes. No reason why both of you shouldn't sign the application and
sponsorship forms too.
