Notice of 60 days to provide Medical results and updated FBI cert. Pls. help!
Hi,
I request for advice from experts to help me decide the actions that I
have to take to resolve the issues in my case.
I applied for immigration to Canada in Oct 2001 at Buffalo, NY RPC. I
received my file number in Nov 2001. After that, I didn't receive any
notification from the RPC Buffalo, NY.
Today, I received another letter from RPC stating that they had asked
for informtion like Medical Results, proof of funds, updated FBI
certificate, employment letter from current employer in Oct 2002. I
*did not* receive any such letter and so far I have been waiting for
any update on my case. Now I have been given sixty (60) days to
provide all such information or my application would be denied.
Please help me how should I go about doing that. How can I provide
"Medical Results"? Where should I go for that? Do they provide any
list of locations for Medical tests? How much time does that take?
I can provide all the information they ask for in the specified time
but I am afraid that bottlenecks would be Medical results and FBI
certficiate because they can take much longer time. Should I ask for
more time to provide all those documents meanwhile I scramble to get
all the things done?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Imran.

Re: Notice of 60 days to provide Medical results and updated FBI cert. Pls. help!
Did you receive medical forms?
If not and if the mentioned letter is the first letter you received since
AOR then notify Buffalo immediately about the fact and ask for medical forms
as well as for extension to provide all what has been requested.

But it seems Imran never received medical forms in the first place. He must
immediately notify Buffalo about the fact and request medical forms as well
as deadline extension.

Re: Notice of 60 days to provide Medical results and updated FBI cert. Pls. help!
Thanks for your replies.
I just sent a fax to Buffalo IRPC asking for medical
forms/instructions and extension of deadline. Now lets see when they
notice my fax.
I am thinking about contacting the doctor(s) for medical examinations
anyways. Do I need any special letter from IRPC for that purpose? What
forms/paperwork is required for medical examinations?
Thanks,
Imran.

You need medical form (with your photo and file number) issued by visa post
in order to undergo medicals.

Re: Notice of 60 days to provide Medical results and updated FBI cert. Pls. help!
Thanks for the advice.
Today I sent out the fax to Buffalo and notified them that it was the
first letter after AOR and that I did not receive any medical forms or
instructions. I also requested to extend the deadline.
Is Fax enough or should I sent the the letter through "Certified mail
with return receipt"?

Re: Notice of 60 days to provide Medical results and updated FBI cert. Pls. help!
Thanks for the advice.
I have sent the same letter through Express Mail and tracked it that
it has been received by Buffalo office. I have also applied for the
FBI clearance and verified that the FBI has also received my request.
I am waiting for the Buffalo IRPC to send the medical forms. As soon I
get them, we will get our medicals done.
The letter that I had received from IRPC asked me to send all the
required documents in one package. Does that include medical exam
results too? I think that they are sent directly by the doctor's
office. Is that not the case and one can submit its own Medical
reports?
How long does it take after the medicals to receive the passport
request?
The stamped visa remains valid till the end of one year anniversary of
Medical exams. Is that right? I need to plan for my landing
accordingly.
Thanks again for your help.
