Hi All Clevelander

I was trying to call cleveland USCIS at 216-535-
0530(between 1 and 4). Usually this line is busy but today the phone
kept ringing and noone was answering.

Has anyone else faced this? Any
suggestions on how to make them work.

I didn't even know they
have a phone# for the public at the Cleveland office. :-O

They do have this phone(216-535-0530) and you can
call between 1pm and 4pm MOn thru Fri. This is basically to inquire
about your pending application with cleveland local office.

There is no
official posting for this but I found by searching through yellow pages
and I dialed in. The person there said this not the number to call but
he gave me this number.


Anyways, todays story is I walked -in
cleveland for EAD. The officer was ready to help me since i told him
that BMV wont renew my license and i have job offer. He even pulled out
my file and everything. Then suddenly he asked for my licence. I gave
him one that I renewed 10days back. He got mad at me and said come after
90 days. BTW I had lots of trouble renewing my licence

I feel so bad
about it, lil feber thing and also not getting EAD. BTW i got parking
ticket for parking on meter parking before due time.

I am not Dave W. And as I said i feel enough bad about what
happened? Learnt my lesson. And i did have lot problem renewing licence.
At that point i called them and they said cant help. Finally got it done
by talking to higher authorities in BMV

Maybe you
are not Dave W but why did you delete your post about going to the
Cleveland office and telling them that you need an EAD immediately
because you had a good job offer and needed to renew your driver's
license as well when you already had the license renewed and there was
no job offer?

You are just a person like all the others here on the
newsgroup waiting, hoping and agonizing about not having an EAD, not
being able to get a license, not being able to get a social security
number, not being able to legally work.

Your actions and the actions
of others who try to lie and scheme their way into getting benefits
ahead of schedule piss me off. Really glad you got caught out by the
system. Shows that there are some astute workers out there.

I did have job offer and had to let go it. I am sorry for my actions and
wont do it ever.
