Default newbie post: quickest way for USC to get PR in Canada

USC + non-USC wife living in Europe.
Likely could qualify for PR in Canada under both skilled worker and business
catagories

Seems processing times for PR applications run to a number of years.
Example: Skilled worker appl. via London = 44 months

Are there any quicker options available to USC's. Maybe something under
NAFTA?

So this is likely a newbie question but any information would be
appreciated - I've done a few hours of googling.
