Hi there!

Sorry all this is a bit over my head. I only looked into the visa types
we could apply for. Just wanted to say hi! I am sure you will get some
good advice, we have found all the people here very helpful.

Good luck in joining in this waiting game.

My husband and I are both over 45 but as a nurse I can get a 457 visa.
All well and good BUT we want to move permanently and would like to know
what our chances are once we are in Oz of A) getting an employer to
sponsor for PR and B) meeting the criteria as we are over 45.

Any other "old" nurses out there who have got PR?

Nisa

Hi,

Have you considered a student visa (study cheaper private TAFE
program), no age limit, give work rights, time to settle see if you
want to stay etc. Once settled could look at applying for PR via
sponsorship or regional etc..

Cheers Andrew AIEC
