Default New date posted for online status

I know it means very little. But...I gotta ask. So here is the deal.

Currently my wife has on file an AOS application. We will be going
through the New Orleans office. Currently the online processing dates
are indicating that they are processing cases from July 26, 2005.

Sooooo. fast forward to this morning and the last action taken on my
wifes case is 4 Dec, 2006. I KNOW this indicates only that the file has
beem touched. Has anyone else had experience with this. If so how long
till there was an outward and visible action.

I would guess you should be getting a NOA in a few days.
You don't say when the AOS was filed, or if your wife has been
fingerprinted and photographed. The NOA may be for that.

The latest AOS was filed in August 2006. It was RFE'd and after
submitting the materials requested accepted into the system on Sept.
6'th. She had appeared to biometrics prior to that sometime in August.

I am assuming her file has just been manipulated in some way. I presume
that she is still looking at another year of waiting time to for her
AOS interview.

I was just curious....can't help myself... it's an OCD thing...I nearly
fell out of my chair this morning when I saw the new date.

However the verbage has not changed only the date.

Basically, its like asking how long is a piece of string. It depends on
so many variables, the backlog of cases in your state, your own special
circumstances, and so on. Have you had your fingerprints done, and your
FBI background check completed? I had my AOS in December 2005, and I am
still waiting.

What do you mean by..." I had my AOS?"
