I am currently on F-1 and graduated last week with a certficate in
orthodontics and PhD. I have applied for OPT and will be starting work
as an Assistant Professor from 1st of October. My wife is on H1b and
will be completing her 6th year in June 2007 and My daughter is on H4.

1. Can I apply for employement based green card while on a F-1 ? or
should I wait till I get my H1b?
2. After I get my H1b, could my wife and child eligible H4 visa as my
dependents even after they complete 6 years in H visas?
