Default N-565 Form for replacing certif. of naturalization

Could someone please tell me what the "A Number" means on the N-565
application.
Also, I assume the "Certificate Number" is the red number in the upper
right hand corner of the certif. of naturalization. Is that correct?
I have a photocopy but lost the original.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
