Default N-400 question

At what point does the 3yr time start? My wife got her 2yr card on Nov 4
2004. We filed the I-751 in Aug 2006 and are waiting on that but I am
confused as to when we can file the N-400 paperwork.

The 3-year clock started on the day your wife became a PR. So Nov
4, 2004. If she meets all the other requirements, she'll be
eligible to file the N-400 on Nov 4, 2007 (or during the 90 days
just previous to that).

Best Wishes,
Rene

I was hoping you would reply :-)

That is what I was thinking but I thought I should ask before I did too
much paperwork or sent anything in.

Thanks,
Brad

Just make sure she also meets all the other requirements in the Guide
to Naturalization. Read up on the physical presence requirements.
She also must have been married to you a full 3 years at time of
filing N-400.
