Default N-400 Interview Appointment + Question

Yesterday we received our N-400 Interview Appointment letter: Feb 17,
2006 is the big day.

My question is this: assuming that the interview goes ok and that the
FBI checks have been performed, how soon can we realistically expect to
be done with everything (sworn in at oath ceremony, etc.)? We are in
the New York area and the interview will be at Federal Plaza in NYC.
How long is the average wait between the interview and the oath
ceremony for New York applicants? Also, how long does it take to
receive the U.S. passport once you apply for it?

Our timeline thus far:
Oct 1999 married
Nov 1999 filed AOS (San Diego)
Mar 2002 AOS interview (San Diego)
Sep 30, 2005 filed N-400 (New York)
Nov 4, 2005 Fingerprint appointment
Dec 7, 2005 Received N-400 appoinment letter
Feb 17, 2006 N-400 interview

Thanks in advance,
Mark

If all goes well at 26 Fed Plaza on that day, ask the examiner if you
can wait for the letter to be handed out for the oath ceremony. Usually
they tell you that the paperwork has to be signed by their supervisor
and that a letter will be mailed to you. But some people get really
nice examiners who ask if you want to wait for an hour or so for the
letter. We were asked and waited. Those that aren't asked and don't
wait sometimes wait months for an oath date.

You can read my husband, Jim's, N-400 interview and oath experiences in
NYC on the kamya site.
