shahrokh22 has made the same inquiry several times over the last few
days, tacking his question for his wife (not for himself) on to old
posts, etc.
While my husband applied for naturalization in 2003, the information is
no difference today as it was yesterday. We included proof of our
marriage still being viable by sending in joint tax returns (and for
others who filed separate, tax returns that indicated that you claimed
"married, filing separate"), a copy of our lease, a few other odds and
ends (really easy to do because all you have to do is copy what you send
for the I-751 so the work is already done with the exception of
xeroxing), front/back of green card and/or I-551 stamp in your passport
if that is all you have, a copy of his passport identification, a copy
his NYS driver's license and viola, there you go a complete package for
the N-400 with petition and check for petition and biometrics. Made up
one set for the government and a set of originals for ourselves.
When the interview letter came it was the standard generic letter
requesting you bring this, that and the other to the interview. Since
you already have the originals in a set, you don't have anything else to
do but appear for the interview and test.
Nothing difficult about the process IMO and don't know what the fuss is
all about.
