Default Multiple H1 Bs

Can u tell me about the multple H1 Visa. I undersatnd that I can hold
H1s from multiple companies. Now if my passport is stamped with H1 from
emply A and if I want to work with empl B , then do I have to again go
that stamp a new H1 for emply B?? In that case does my old emply A H1
gets cancelled?? Or can I have both Visa from both employers at same
time?? In case the old one gets cancel , can I go back and stamp H1 for
Emp A after working with changed H1 of emply B for sometime again??

Pls advice??

Thanks

AS far as I understand visa and I797 are different. When you are entering
states you should have a valid visa stamp and an I-797.. So the most recent
visa stamp will be valid..
I changed my job while I was on H1B but I didn't stamp my passport.. I could
still use old H1B stamp on the passport. travel.state.gov web site has an
explanation for this info..
