Dear mr Miller,

Would highly appreciate if you could answer my queries and help me
out.
I have been in Canada for the last 2 years on a Work Authorization and
have applied for my PR in Jun 2003 to the buffalo consulate.
Since I have been in Canada for 2 yrs would I be required to get a
Police clearance from Canada or would the Consulate do the necessary
background check by itself ? I ask this question so that I could
probably get the clearance certificate before my file is assessed and
perhaps save time.
Would appreciate if you could let me know.

It will be up to you to get the clearance, but since it is only valid for 6
months, you should probably wait for Buffalo's request unless you can guess
with in a month or two when that request may come.
