First of all I want to thank you all for taking out time and
contributing to this forum.



Few days back I rec'd a letter from CHC Islamabad.

In the letter it was written:





"You are entitled to an assessment under the current and former
regulations. To qualify for immigration you will need to earn 70 points
under the former regulations or 67 points under the current regulations.
You will need to submit the following items for

us to fully assess your application.



1. An updated application form

2. Please include any new corresponding documents which will

support and substantiate any new information in the updated

application form; and

3. Proof of your current level of official language proficiency..



If you fail to submit these documents / or information within 180 days,
we will assess your application on the basis of the information on file.
No other documents are required at this time.



However you may wish to take advantage of our expedited processing to
those applicants who provide an updated application form, proof of
their current level of official language proficiency in the form of an
IELTS test result, updated employment reference letters detailing
their responsibilities, updated proof of funds and all original
education documents. Expedited processing will not be offered to
applicants who do not

submit their original IELTS test report form."





I have a couple of question in this regard.



1) What exactly is the meaning of the term 'Expedited Processing'



2)Secondly, I may not be able to provide an updated employment reference
letter because I fear that I might risk losing my job or lose my
employer's confidence in me.

What should I do in this regard ?

Can I send CHC Islamabad a letter detailing my current job description
without letting my current employer know that I have applied for
canadian immigration.





3) Thirdly, do I need to submit all my original educational documents
i.e. transcripts, degrees, certificates etc. Let me tell you Mr.
Miller that at the time of submitting the application for permanent
residence in March 2001, I had submitted notarized copies of all my
educational documents.



4) My fourth question is regarding 'proof of funds'. I have sufficient

funds but they are invested in various stocks/shares and foreign
currencies. I can readily transfer these securities in my bank account
but the question arises that CHC requires 3-6 months bank statements
showing proof of funds.

What should I do in this regard ??



5) And lastly I want to know that which specific application form should
I download in which I have to fill updated particulars.

1) CHC Islamabad and few other visa posts have implemented their internal
policy to have 2 different priorities (sort of) - cases that are fully and
conclusively documented leaving nothing to be questioned are being processed
faster than those missing some info or documents or with some inconclusive
evidence.

2) Why not? You don't need to tell your employer that you need it for
immigration. You may say that you need it for continuing your education or
something. Your own letter detailing duties performed will not be accepted
as it will be a self-serving letter.

3) Did you submit transcripts in originally sealed by university envelopes?
I don't think so. This is what you must submit now in addition to updated
evidence documenting any changes since you filed your application.

4) CIC asks for several months of bank statements to see that it is your own
money, not funds just borrowed today for the purpose of showing proof of
funds. If you have investments you claim you have then you have a record of
such dating quite some time back. You may submit current bank statement
showing balance after you liquidated your investments plus evidence that you
had those investments for several months and proof of sale of those
investments. You need to establish a chain of conclusive evidence here.

5) Download all the forms for Skilled Workers class (IMM 0008 Generic,
Schedule 1, Schedule 3 and IMM 5406) and Islamabad specific instructions
from CIC website.

can we get those information in two letters. on separate letter
regarding the job description and duties and another one separate
letter regarding the duration payscale etc. We can get those letters
in two different ground
like taking bank loans, insurance etc.

However when we give reasons like bank loans then sometime
the company writes another line in the letter saying
"This information is being provided for bank loan"

Should this create problem.

Is CHC New Delhi also doing the same. It appears so from their web
site saying that one can reduce delay by IELTS score. It seems like
they are rewarding people of old regaulation who submit IELTS score
with interview waiver.

It applies to those being processed under old law and when the only reason
for interview would be to assess their language skills. If there are other
needs to call for interview then they are called anyway.

Under new law language skills must be proven with application and interview
cannot be called for to assess such skills.

The only original education documents to be submitted are transcripts in
university sealed envelopes. All other education documents (diplomas,
certificates, degrees) should be submitted as certified copies, unless
particular visa post has different requirements.
