Default Mr.Miller Advice ---London

My wife and I are applying to Canadian immigration from London office
(She's in London ).But there is huge difference of supporting
documents required between Canadian immigration website
(www.cic.gc.ca) and those on the Canadian High Commission London
website.

1:The biggest one being London site says DONOT SEND ORIGINALs EXCEPT
POLICE CERTIFICATES AND IELTS.
This is link to there check list, which is totally different from CIC
checklist.
http://www.canada.org.uk/visa-info/f...d/e_swchck.pdf
The dates on forms on both sites are same 06-2002.
Please Advice which site to follow.

2: My other Question is if London is still accepting Transcripts
copies (not even notarized).
a) How do they confirm whether the certificates are original?

b) Do they contact the certificate Issuing University?
The reason I am concerned about this is because my wife's bachelor's
is from an Indian University in some small town and it took us to get
duplicate copies of her certificates nearly 3 months. So I guess if
they get an enquiry from Canadian High Commission, my wife's
university will reply back maybe in 5-10 years maybe….

c) I think by sending Photocopies of our documents, I think they will
surly call us for an Interview.

3:I was thinking to apply in Jan with all Photocopies and get all
Duplicate Transcripts issued (sealed envelope etc) from my and my
wife's college in India and send them back to London office once I get
a Case No.???? Any comment on this.

Thank you All for ands Mr.Miller

You should always follow more strict requirements applicable to your
circumstances. For example fact that London or Buffalo may not ask for
certified copies doesn't mean that you should follow it blindly. If you
supporting documents are originally issued in the country other than one in
the particular visa post's jurisdiction then it is strongly recommended to
follow documents' requirements applicable to visa post normally processing
immigration applications from the country documents in question originated
in. So, if you are applying through London but have some documents
originated in India then I suggest following requirement from checklist for
New Delhi in respect to those Indian documents.
