Moving from NZ to Oz - Anyone Done it?
We are going to move to either the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast around June or July of this year. Coming over in March to get married and gonna have a look around at business we can buy.
Does anyone know which are the bad areas of Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast (probably Noosa) so we don't go near them. Also, I read on another website a couple of days ago that you can open up a bank account - Westpac from NZ with suitable ID, i.e. passport. But I can't find the website again, I never bookmarked it, and I went to Westpac here today, and they don't have a clue. Also, I can get a tax number before I leave, but I can't find the website again, I think it was the same one that had the bank accounts. Any Kiwi's on this forum that have made the big move? Any advice would be apreciated. Cheers, QBW |
