Default More Information Removing condtions On green card

Wow been a long time since I have been here!
Ok Abridge version.

Aug 16 2002 We immigrated via fiancee visa to the USA from Canada
Oct 26 2002 Married
Filed for conditional green card (Tampa bay florida)
Received Conditional green card Aug 13 2004 (ya no kidding)
May 15 2006 filed to remove conditions (TSC)

I am anal, I am an accountant. I make sure everything is in order all
documents are checked i's are dotted t's are crossed. I have had no
problems till now...

Today we got a notice Nov 24 2006 stating they wanted more information.
It states .....

"Submit a copy of joint mortgage or lease agreements listing you and
your spouse joint tax returns, joint bank accounts, - checking,
savings, investments, joint purchases, bills with both of your names
or copies of jointly held credit cards, family photographs, or
affidavits from family or friends and a copy of your marriage
certificate, as issued by the civil authorities. Send as much of the
above information as possible."

Now I am worried because I submitted all this. All but the mortgage or
lease agreement for we have no mortgage or lease we own our home, and
no jointly held credit cards for well, we are kinda weird in that, we
pay cash no credit.

I sent in our joint tax returns, i sent in our car insurance (joint
name) our car registration (joint name) our bank account (joint name) I
sent in 4 letters from people we know all notorized stating wer live
together, i sent in the marriage certificate, kids school records with
our addess ect..

So I plan to re-due it all using different people to do the letters,
but I still have to send in car insurance, the car purchase, the bank
account, I cant send in the phone bill or cable bill for it is THEIR
rule that only one of us can be on the account. I will include a cover
letter stating we have no mortgage or lease since our home is paid for.

But I am worried. Why whould they do this if I already sent this info?
Should I be worried or is this normal?

What happens when removing conditions on a marriage based green card?
Can they still turn us down? Do we have to go in for interviews or do
they send us permanent ten year green cards in the mail or do we go in
for finger printing ect again?

Can I maybe get reassured that this "request for more info" is normal?

Sighs I hate immigration

While it isn't exactly normal, this happens all the time. Go ahead and
resend everything that you sent before along with whatever updates you
feel necessary.

Regardless of whether your I-751 is adjudicated or not, you can still
file for naturalization as soon as you are eligible. It's the only way
to be rid of USCIS once and for all.

In addition, if the deed is in both names include that. Make sure you
write that you don't have credit cards, neither one of you (strange
would think you would have at least one for travel for airlines and
hotels and car rentals).

Hi:

The regulations give you three options to respond to an RFE:

1. Send them everything they ask for;
2. Send them part of what they ask for and request adjudication based
on everything.
3. Send them nothing but make sure to say you are sending them nothing
more and to please adjudicate on what you have.

The only thing you CAN'T do is ignore the thing.

Each case is different and you really don't give the facts of your
situation. It may just be that the officer looking at the file
scratched their head, thought they would like more, and issued a
"boilerplate" RFE.

Its just fine to say "I gave you all I'm going to give you." Explain it
like you did here.

Keep in mind you dont need a credit card to travel with airlines or
hotels or car rentals. Most of these companies now accept Debit Cards
which can be just as good as a credit card minus the fact some make u
pay a depoist for not having a credit card. My husband refuses to get
a credit card "if we can't afford to buy it out right then we dont get
it" Thank goodness he did agree to get a loan for my car
I just hope when it is time for me to have my conditions removed...(if
i ever get approved for conditional) that I will have enough evidence.
I guess will see when the time happens

Thank you for your help. We are resending everything and more this
time.
My parents are here from canada and they also are going to do a letter,
and we have a few others whom will do them for us. They also asked for
family portraits so I am sending a copy of my mothers day gift last
year which is dated even and is a picture of all of us.

Do you think given the time frame I should send in more immigration
pictures? (the ones they actually requested at the time of filing for
the removal of conditions?)

As for having no credit cards or loans, its nice to sleep at night. We
use our bank card as credit/debit cards and well we have everything we
need and more.

I hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving
