Default missing fingerprint appointment

Hello,
I applied for N-400 last March 2005 and by mid April, I got letter
confirming my fingerprint appointment. It was on 5/5/2005 but I forget
and from somereson I thought all the time it is 5/12. So on the 5/12
and just before I go to my appointment, I was reviewing my papers and I
found out that I missed the appointment. I called the call center and
they advised me to send the appointment letter back requesting
re-scheduale. So I did and I am waiting now for the new appointment.

I wonder if anyone had his problem before and how long it take to get
new appointment.

I feel like an idiot. I never missed any appointment on my life and for
something important like that I miss the date..

Thanks

I'm sorry you called the misinformation number. You could have walked
into the Application Support Center and asked for your fingerprints to
be done that day. Usually they are not crowded and they are
accompanying. Now without the letter you can't do that. Hope you heard
from them soon.
