Migration agent working speeds
Hello all,
I would think a great number of people here have used or are using a
migration agent.
Now Ive been wondering if Im impatient or not as I sent copies for
trade assessment to my agent by email to check theyre ok, and have
been waiting almost 2 weeks for a reply. I did prompt him 4 or 5 days
ago but no reply as yet.
I do realise Im probably not the only person on his books, but I was
expecting things to move slightly quicker. Not knowing the average
working speed of an agent, do you think Im being impatient?
Thanks
TNN

There could be a good reason for the lack of contact but going by your
comment and Steves too, I can only assume the process usually moves a
little quicker.

When we took our agent on we asked what the turn around time was for
things - we were advised 24 hours...therefore I would nag a little
and ask them the same question. Your agent is mara registered too
arent they??

Yes, MARA registered.
I think I'll make a phone call early tomorrow morning as I am now quite
convinced I'm not being impatient.

Thats good. Give them a ring and ask them if there is a hold up and if
not when you can expect to hear when the next part will be actioned.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I think you have to make the call, 2 weeks is a long time so it might be
worth asking - good luck with it.
Me however, Patience is my new name

Hello "Patience", I agree, make the call. 2 weeks with nothing is
unacceptable.
Good luck.

Ours took about 5 days if I remember correctly, however ANY e-mail,
phone calls etc were returned with answers within 24 hours.
