Default Meds.... Huddersfield or Manchester?

If you have had your Meds at Huddersfield or Manchester (or anywhere
in the surrounding area of West Yorkshire) please can you give me
your opinions of the service you received & if possible the rough
prices you paid?

Daft question - do you pay when you attend or are you billed after the
meds? Can you pay by Visa/Mastercard or does it have to be cash/cheque?

My hubby will need to have the extra Hep B test as he has numerous
tattoes also.

We have heard great things about Dr Million in Machester, but rec's from
you guys are always regarded highly with us!

Thanx in advance guys!

Claire & Steve

Hiya vb2

thankyou for that..... our son is only 2 & we have a baby due VERY soon
so our meds may be a bit cheaper but all the same, I was expecting to
pay a lot more than that so that is great thanks very much!

We just passed our TRA and am hoping to have the main appl submitted by
the weekend. We are hoping our meds are requested Sept/Oct so that it
gives me chance to pass my 6 wks check and also get to the gym (LOL) to
get rid of some of the excess "me" LOL

Our game plan is to get to Aus (if poss) by February 2006. We are
headed for the Gold Coast as my parents live there already.. where are
you guys headed?

RE: the medicals.... how do you pay? Is it on the day or by invoice?

Love,

Claire

Dr million is great, very old school and lovely office(surgery). I heard
that he has put kids at ease with toys etc in the past.

I havent heard a bad thing about him.

i agree with ALK, Dr Million was great and not really as thorough as i
thought he'd be(which is good!)! i don't know why i had been so nervous
about it. he looked at our tattoos but i'm sure we didn't have hep b
test when i worked out the bill, though i did have hep c test as i work
with kids. anyway it all came to £360 for me and husband inc xrays and
courier charge.
would definitely recommend him, good luck x loidy
ps: you have to pay cash or cheque there on the day, and you pay
separately for xrays so you will need 2 cheques!

Can only say great things too about Dr Million......the girls loved him
(teenagers) finding his humour right up their street. Glynn my son
talked rugby......hubby found him "decent bloke"...from Peter that is
high praise....and me personally.....he was lovely and calming plus made
the process so much less stressful. Can only praise the friendliness of
the receptionists.....who I have phone more than once and never once
told me to sod off. Not the cheapest.....but not the dearest.

Hi, we had ours done in Huddersfield with Dr Lynn Mason, she is actually
our GP as well so fell lucky there. Very efficient, nothing to the
Meds. Cost £100 per adult, £55 per child, extra blood test for
tattoos is £15. X-Rays can be done at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary
which is next door to the practice, they cost £50 per person over 12 I
think. If you decide to go with them ask for Lauren Paynter as she deals
with all the Immigration medicals. Hope this helps. Mary
