MEDS for Kids

Hi

I am booking Medicals soon and was concerned about my 10 year old - she
has a phobia of NEEDLES!!!! Has anyone else had the same problem?? I
feel that it's going to be a case of sitting on her and gagging her -
how many needles / injections will she need to have - may need to take
reinforcements

Any thoughts

No need for reinforcements

she wont need any needles or an x-
ray! Just a quick medical, (look in ears, eyes, mouth etc.) and a
urine sample

Just had our meds and our 11 year old and 8 year old did not have to
have bloods taken. 11 year old had x-ray but no bloods. Bloods are for
HIV and Hep (if you have tatoos). Kids meds are simple, the main thing
is enough stuff to keep them occupied during waiting periods. I know
people tell you it is nothing to worry about and it is hard to believe
but honestly it consists of a quick weight, height, eye, blood pressure
test and urine sample. You also have to strip down and they have a feel
of tummy, back and listen to heart and lungs. Honestly very simple and
you will wonder why you worried!.
