Default Medicals lost?

Hi,

We just received an e-mail from our case officer requesting medicals and
pcc. Though, we already have our medicals done, even 2 weeks before we
lodged our application at ASPC. Would anyone know how to 'connect' our
case officer to the medicals in Sydney? Does the doctor have any ID
number of the doc's sent to Sydney?

Thanks in advance for your info!

ps. Application Skilled Independent, non MODL, no migration agent:
lodged April 7th.

Sorry, I can't help too much (see below), but I wonder why you did your
medicals so early on, before you even applied? If you had waited until
you got your ack from the application then you would have at least had
the file reference number to put on the medicals which would have made
them more trackable within DIMIA. Sending them before you even applied
might have been very confusing to DIMIA/Sydney LCU and they could be
anywhere as DIMIA could not even find your application if they were
looking for it as it was not yet at DIMIA!

I would contact your CO (you should have an email address now) and tell
him/her the situation and see whether they can dig them up. If not you
might have to re-do the medicals.

Cheers,
Brian

Yeah, well if only we all were blessed with the benefit of hindsight at
the time!! Don't give yourself a hard time about it.

I'm sure you're not the only ones to have done this and I would assume
they would hold onto unassigned copies of meds for a period of time
until they can marry them up with an application. Or let's hope so!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get it sorted without having
to get the meds redone.

Nicky

After our first shock we can tell you that everything turned out to be
ok. We don't have to do our medicals again, but succeeded in connecting
our CO to our medicals at LCU in Sydney. We contacted LCU (offshore
medicals are sent to LCU in Sydney) by e-mail (btw, thanks for the info)
and they immediately - after 5 min. - confirmed the receipt and
processing of our medicals. So, informed our CO that our medicals are at
LCU. Also our CO confirmed promtely. Again, one step closer .... :-)
