Default Malpensa - Modest hotels w/shuttle

Have lost, misplaced info re: modest (3 star or less) hotels adjacemnt to,
near, "on campus", Malpensa Airport for RON before an early flight. Should
also be convenient to airport shuttle from Milan or local train station
w/suburban service from Milan.

Malpensa Airport is not close to the city and I don't know of any
hotel in the zone that offers shuttle service to the airport.
If your plane leaves after 6.30 a.m. you could use the
MalpensaExpress train (http://www.ferrovienord.it/webmxp/ing/frame-
orari-ing.htm) and stay in an hotel close to one of the stations
where the train stop.
You could stay in Milan or sleep in Saronno (easy to reach by car
using the motorway to Switzerland) or Busto Arsizio.

Hotel Cervo is at the airport with a shuttle. Haven't stayed there myself,
but a colleague of my husband's has stayed there and found it convenient.
Here's the link: http://www.malpensa.it/hotelcervo/index%20ing.html .

don't know either, but I believe one could sleep in Gallarate and take a
taxi. May be there hotels on the SEA web site
http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/En...sa/default.htm

while the train is convenient during daytime (40 min, not affected by
traffic) it does not stop in many places. The terminal at Milano Cadorna
is in full city centre (do not know about unexpensive hotels there), I
doubt there any at Milano Bovisa. Perhaps in Saronno ?

On the other hand if you have to leave early, you could take a coach
from the right hand side (right facing the station) of Milano Centrale,
where there are plenty of hotels. It's cheaper than the train. It takes
longer and is traffic affected during daytime, but there is no traffic
during the night. Check timetables on above web site. I took once such a
coach at about 4:30 am (also I had to go to terminal 2, the coach drives
through terminal 2 then 1, while with the train you have to take a
shuttle to terminal 2, walk for terminal 1).
