dear friends,

I have been planning to migrate Aus for 2 years. I was
just about to complete the document business but dimia announced a
passmark increase on 1st of april like a 1st april joke!

not to lose
115 passmark chance, I sent my application by fedex on 6th of april and
I was told that the envelope would be at dimia in just three days. not
surprisingly, it did not happen. now my application is waiting in
alexandria after 4 days for the end of public holiday in australia. I
don't think it would reach dimia-adelaide before 14th of april. although
fedex succeeds to bring my application on 13th april, will dimia start
my application date on 13th april? there will be an enormous rush that
day, I am sure!

under this circumstances, The dream seems to be over,
with a lost of 1795 $. in my home country they say "drink a glass of
cool water" in such situations!

Dear arf,

If fedex
deliver your application during work timings for on 13th, the same time
will be your lodgement date. Courier Agencies provide evidence of what
time and day they delivered your application. So, the moment it is
delivered in DIMIA, it becomes your lodgement date, provided that you
have filled your form correctly. So, chase your Courier agency and tell
them it is emergency. Also, courier agency normally works during
holidays. So ensure that it reaches Adelaide by 12th April so that it is
delivered on 13th Morning. The other option for you, provided you are
using Credit card, is to fax the 47sk form + skill assessment + fee
using credit card no. by fax to Adelaide (You can do search on this
forum for this to get the appropriate fax no). In turn they will lodge
your application on 13th. In the meantime, your original would be
delivered. So no problem. Do search now, get the fax no, and fax. Many
applicants are doing this way. You need Credit Card Though for this.

Any case if the application doesn't get on that day. hopefully not,

Just fax your application. It's still counted so you will not have an
issue.
There is thread in this forum about it. Have a look quickly and
good luck.
