Yes, you will lose your australian citizenship. WHile americans who want to naturalize as australians are allowed to hold dual citizenship, native born Australians are not allowed to hold dual citizenship. However, if you are going to gain Canadian citizenship, you would be techically allowed, since you are not holding allegiance to a foreign head of state, since Canadian head of state is your same queen. In citizenship court, at the end of the day, you would be allowed to still be a Canadian so why not get Canadian citizenship and become a Canadian expat in the US. Canadians can go to the US unlimited number of times, and are given the best treatment with NAFTA.
