Default A letter regarding I-751 approval

Hi all!

My wife filed the I-751 on 05/07/02, the N-400 on 07/25/03, and was
fingerprinted on 09/12/03. We're still waiting on anything from the VSC.
She is going to stay in Russia for a couple of months in June - August
and I wonder if anybody could share his/her experience on the following.

1). If the I-751 approved, does the approval letter indicate a specific
time frame when the applicant should appear in the INS office?

2). The same question would be regarding letters requiring interview to
remove conditional status.

3). Can the Citizenship interview be rescheduled based on the temporary
absence of the applicant?

Thanks

I don't think so. I think my wife waited 1 1/2 months, since going to
the San Jose, CA office is a pain.

I believe those give a date for the interview. You don't set the date,
they do.

Yes

Hi,

When my husband got his I-751 approval letter, it didn't state

a specific date in which he had to come into the BCIS office. His
application was approved without interview. He went out of town to
Norway for 3 months right after getting approved and he had no problem
getting his passport stamped and fingerprints done when he returned. I
don't think they have a specified date that a person has to show up, but
it's best to do it as soon as possible, so that you will have proof of
permanent resident status.
