Actually no. The sentiment on the Statue of Liberty, which was
something sent in by a little girl in a contest, was about Europeans
who were considered to be the lowest rung in their own countries,
having the opportunity here to rise to what their talents allow. It
had nothing to do with the false strength attributed to "Diversity",
by the Orwells of today.

I would like to point out, **** YOU.
I am Mexican. I am well organized, and very responsible towards my
family and my personal affairs. Most of the Mexicans I know are too.
Some are not. Most of the Americans that I know are responsible. Some
are not. The point being, it is not a race or nationality thing.
You must remember that the border acts as a "poor filter"; the
Mexicans who migrate to the US are mostly poor, therefore less
educated. This lower level of education may translate into
unacceptable social behaviour. But this is a characteristic of the
POOR, not of the MEXICAN (not all poor, only a percentaje). You are
making a classification mistake. This mistake is common, and it is
called "racial stereotyping". Intelligent people are able to
understand the concept. I trust you will to.
Now, as to the "very corrupt political system". I would like to point
out that Mexico has been a true democracy for only 3 years. In 2000,
Vicente Fox, from the PAN party, won the first truly clean elections
in our entire history. The governments prevous to 2000 where nothing
more than a rotating dictatorship. The new Mexico, us, we are working
HARD to fix the problems that the previous corrupt government left.
One of them is corruption. You may find the following news item of

that some are lacking those traits and others are
alright........furthermore, I also mentioned my son is half mexican and

1) people don't give up their rights and land because they don't

have codified laws and having laws don't make things right.

(slave laws). Besides there were laws made by European

powers serving their interests in the new world. Laws are

not their own justification and you cannot force laws made

by you and your peers through your officials on people who

had no way of affecting them.



2)Even these laws were broken mostly by our government

through greed; I think you know what I am talking

about. Treaties are the highest law and we broke so many

to grab land from the natives.
