Default Lawyers for DCF through consulate in Sydney

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone knew of any lawyers that deal with
immigrating to the US through DCF. I live in Melbourne Australia, and hoping
to get things started soon and wanted to see how much all this would cost to
get handled by a lawyer.

I have rang a few places but have been mostly told that my soon to be
husband should contact a lawyer in America, but since we are doing DCF and
all the paperwork is done here in Australia I thought it might be better for
me to see about a lawyer here.

Hi,



Congratualtions with your almost-marriage.



I was wondering though if it's necessary to hire a lawyer for DCF,
especially in "western" countries like Western Europe, Australia and
Canada. Isn't the DCF procedure in our countries relatively easy and
smoothly going?

The US Consulate might be able to assist you in finding a counsel in
Syndey who works with DCF for USC and Australian citizens. However,
most people have done it themselves. You can read about those couple
