Default K1 to I751

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or advice. I came to live in
the states by way of Marraige on a K1 visa. Unfortunately after just sh-
ort of 4 years of marriage we've seperated earlier this year.

my 2 year conditional Greencard had already expired and we had filed to
have the conditions lifted last year and have recieved my I751. The pro-
cessing date for my application was at the end of July 04 and have heard
nothing yet from the INS. I've been told to wait until the 7th of septe-
mber, and if I haven't heard anything to call the Customer Serive line
to get an enquiry sent to the Texas office to see what the hold up is on
my application.

I was just curious as what my chances are of getting the conditions lif-
ted and given a Permenant residency status are now that I am seperated?

any comments would be much appreciated.

First, read at the marriage-based visa group (accessable from BritishEx-
pats). Look for posts from "Aguila" who is doing the same thing. He had
to re-file the I-751 based on his new, divorced status, IIRC.

In other words, it's been done, but will require some special attenti-
on from you.
