Default k1 for canadian permanent residents

hi,

i'm living in seattle and my g/f is a canadian permanent resident
living in vancouver.... we want to apply for a k1 visa but she is very
much concerned that this will hurt her chaces to get canadian
citizenship next year....if anybody is/was in a similar situation or
knows about the canadian immigration system, pls. help as clarify the
following issues:

1. if she gets a k1 visa and comes to US, will the canadian
authorities be informed about her departure?
2. is there any way that would allow her to come to US and still be
eligible to get her canadian citizenship?

ty,

pat
