Default K 1 London Interview Question

hi

im sure most of you are familiar with my ongoing immigration
problems lol

but just for those who arent . we were promised a K 1 interview
and medical

for my british fiance in January by the london consulate via email
on Dec 21.

They said they would contact us closer to the time, but we have had no

contact so my question is , Has anyone else ever had this
happen to them?

and also any idea's on how much notice they are actually going to give
us

before the date of the interview? It wouldnt make much sense to me for

them to email or snail mail us something that said ok your interview is

tomorrow

LOL

any idea's? Also should i reemail them and say what is going on,
or will that

just aggrivate them and get me put at the end of the line again? lol

thanks

amber

Hey Amber:)

I didn't go thru London for my K3 interview but have read in this forum
that they are very friendly and helpful, why don't you give them a call
or send them an e-mail??.
I wouldn't think they sent you an e-mail just to mess with you, a visa
interview is a serious matter:)

Take care!

Hi Amber,

I'm not sure what to tell you. My now hubby went through London last
year. He received an appointment letter with his interview date stated,
not an email saying "you'll get one in Jan, but we'll tell you the date
later." He received about 2 weeks notice. You may want to consider
calling them, but given that it's only been about 3 weeks since that
email, I'd hold off a bit longer. But they are fairly helpful, so
emailing them back (instead of spending the £ calling them!) may not be
a bad idea either....wish I could be a bit more definite, but you know
how inconsistent this whole process is!

Good luck!
~Jamie

I agree the email is odd, but we filed his packet 3 in sept 04 and had
not heard anything, the email they sent us back stated they would
reschedule his interview for sometime in January, i emailed them back
and asked them to double check they had his correct mailing address, as
he had never got the first interview notice and reschedule seemed to
suggest to me that he had missed his interview, they said they had the
same address on file and that they would contact him sooner to the
January date to let him know when it was, and then nothing has been
sent to us in the mail or email since. i hate to keep posting on here
when it seems we sort of have a answer from them but i do not find this
normal , i know they are busy and everyone wants an interview but our K1
has been approved since August 10,2004, and they have still not given
him an interview. we filed our K 1 visa in March of 2004, and after
being seperated from jan 04 to dec 04 and not seeing each other in
person at all its getting very trying ,( and im sure you all feel the
same ) i just wish they would let us know what is going on , any other
idea's or stories would be appreciated

Man that is a long time!!, If I were you I would give them a call, it is
expensive but you'll probably get a quicker response!
Keep us updated! I am VERY curious!!

Amber
With the amount of time that has lapsed since your K1 2nd NOA I would go
ahead and phone the embassy, it might also be an idea to follow it up
with a letter.

Good luck

Jan :)

I just wanted to second what the poster above said. When my fiance got
his letter from London via snail mail, they indicated the time, date
location etc. I find it strange that they are emailing you. Good lUck
