Default Jim H. Please....question

I'm a Canadian Citizen who has been working overseas for three years,
since being away from Vancouver I have been married to a Thai Citizen &
have a baby daughter whos is both Thai & Canadian Citizen. I have fully
read all the requirments in order to sponser my wife IN CANADA CLASS.
My wife just obtained her 3rd TRV...we had planned to go back for xmas
holidays & the month of January regardless (visitor visa, in which she
has never overstayed during her first 2 visits )for Canada & we wish to
move back.

Reason being for the quick move, is when we came to visit in September
for 3 weeks, I spoke to a previous employer i used to work with & they
were interested in hiring me as Head Chef, so we came back to Thailand,
my wife went to the embassy to apply for a TRV (going for xmas &
January..we where going back for xmas regardless to visit & i still
wasnt sure about the job offer) since my wife recieved the TRV i have
decided to take the job back in White Rock. I just resigned from my
current Chef position here in Thailand. Now I fully understand
according to Canadian Law then its legal for someone to apply to
sponser there wife while she is on a TRV(visitor visa).

My main reason for this email (what ive been so confused) I've been
told that if we mention applying for me to sponser my wife at customs
upon arrival at the airport that they could refuse her entry because
they don't think she will leave the country. My wife currently takes
care of our daughter while im working, if we where to be seperated it
would be much strain not only on us, but our daughter who either of us
wants to miss growing up if this was the case.

Im confused why some people just say to mention your only visiting or
be honest (which is what I want to do in all ways) but then again what
father or husband wants to risk such a terrible thing of the wife &
mother being refused entry. It kind of baffles me that someone would
have to have a white lie in order to do something that is legal to do
once inside of Canada.

Im very sorry for disturbing you, as im sure you a very busy. I was
told from someone to contact some immigration lawyers possibly to see
if they could find any answers.Honestly i appreciate your time for
reading my email. I look forward to hearing back from you.

You should just tell the truth nd if you have a firm offer from a previous
employer that would be helpful but not necessary. I do not feel you would
have any great problem telling the immigration officer that you intend to
sponsor your wife inland.

I second that. Immigration Laws are written to be flexible in today's
society. You and your wife have a solid relationship, a child, so be up
front about your possible plans. If for any reason the Immigration
Officer at the port of entry thought your wife should be refused
admission, keep in mind that she has the right to appeal that decision
because she has a valid TRV. And why would an Immigration Officer do
that, anyway? It would help if your wife had temporary medical
coverage, and you have the means to support your family in the short
term while you are waiting for a reply on your application.
