Default Inviting Parents to Visit USA

i'm on h1 and would like to invite my parents for a visit. When I was
looking up reqd documents i think i need my current visa copy.


Currently my h1 transfer is in process and i dont have a visa copy, In
such case what alternate document would i have to submit. or shld i have
to wait till i get the visa

advise guys.

note: my parents live in
india and would be applying in chennai consulate.

You can certainly send the receipt notice instead. Basically, the
"required" documents are actually not so much required, but usually the
appropriate ones. Special cases, such as yours, may allow different
documents.
