Default Interim-EAD CARD

Quick question, How do you get your I-EAD card before 90 days were
complete after your receipt date.
I have seen some people online getting their I-EAD card weeks after
applying for I-761.

Thank you

Hi Ferhat,

Not sure I follow your question. There used to be an Interim EAD card
that you could get at your local office, if your EAD card took longer
than 90 days to arrive after filing the I-765. However, local offices
are no longer giving out interim EADs.

You asked, how do you get your EAD card before 90 days are complete
after your receipt date? Well....you don't. You just wait until
the EAD card arrives in the mail, which might be within 90 days, or
might not.

If you've seen people getting EAD cards within weeks of filing the I-765
(you said I-761, but I think you meant I-765), then that is how long it
took for theirs to process. They had no control over how long it takes,
they just got lucky.

Perhaps EADs are starting to get issued more quickly, no way of knowing.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Actually, the EADs are being processed faster. I applied on December 7
for a renewal, the sent the receipt the same day. Surprisingly, they
also sent me my appointment letter on the 14th of December, and the
appointment is slated for December 28. Last time, it took about 6 weeks
after my fingerprinting for me to get my card in the mail.

Regards,

Ty
