Default Initial assessment - employment verification letter

Hi,

I recently received my initial assessment (with interview waiver)

The immigration folks requested for an employment verification letter
that includes "the probability of continued employment". My employer
indicated that it would be against company policy to include this. What
should I do?

Wow ! that is a strange request - never heard of this.
Mr. Miller and Jim - why would they ask for such a thing?
This doesn't make sense to me.
If someone is planning to immigrate as a PR to Canada, why should they care
about "continued employment" in their home country?
I don't think any company would agree to issue such a letter.

Hi Jim,

I am residing in the United States. I am an Indian Citizen. I had filed
my application at Buffalo

I seriously doubt any employer would be able to answer such a question.
I think I may end up forwarding a letter from my HR dept explaining that
the company would not be in a position to comment on the "probability of
employment"

Thanks
