Default Included my entire net worth while filing for permanent residency; what happens while landing

Hi
I had put in my entire net worth while filling up the application form
for permanent residency. I had also given the relevant documents
I am preparing to land now. I am told that the funds that I should be
carrying during landing should be equal to what was stated while
filing the application.
At this stage, I cannot transfer the entire net worth in one shot. How
do I justify my position to the visa officer.
Can I carry - say USD 20 - 30 K with me and carry proof of the rest of
the amount (Eg. a letter from the bank?)
