Default IMP::spouse visa and my work permit

Hello all.

Today is Nov 28th 2003.

Will keep this short and simple. Please advise on the matter below:

- I am already in canada since 1.5 years, on a work permit,and a
multiple entry visa, both going to expire on April 31st, 2004, 5
months from now.

- Am going to India in January, to get married on Feb 1st 2004.

- Want to bring my spouse to canada just after my marriage, say Feb
25th, 2004.
and preferably, get her a work permit. I am a software professional,
and qualify for the "Pilot Program" for spouse work permit...

Questions:
#1. I am worried about my work permit getting expired in April...So,
when i apply for a visitor visa for her in India, will this create any
problem ?

#2. If i apply my work permit extension in canada NOW, will they even
process it, since its already valid for next 5 mnths... ?

#3. What is the best approach that we both can get our work permits,
exended till after April 2004....

Thanks for the help in advance...

-Tan.
