Default Immunization on I-693 form

When my lawyer sent me to do medical exam, giving me a form, I saw on
the form that I have the option not to take vaccines.

BTW, I know that I have MMR for sure under the governmenr program but
the documents were never given to my parents.

After the day after I did the physical exam and other test such as HIV,
TB, aside from vaccines, I talked to my lawyer about using that option
not to take vaccines, but she said that I have to be actively with
religious organization to prove moral convictions. I feel like she
just doesn't want to do paper work to cliam my opiton to avod
vaccination of MMR and Varicella.

But I readd on I-693 form I just downloaded that "Immunizations are nor
required but applicants should be encouraged to go to a physician or
local health epartment for immunizations."

So can I avoid taking the vaccines for MMR and Varicella (chicken pox)?

Currently, I have taken tetanus shots (last one was 8 years ago) and am
doing blood test to see whether I have been innoculated. I am not sure
about Varicella but I am sure that I have taken MMR as a child.

I'd like to know why I MUST take vaccination if the form instruction
said that "Immunizations are nort required."

Why not try asking your previous doctor if he has a record of your
past imms includding MMR and to whether he will provide a record. I
work in general proactice in the UK and I always give the parents a
record but things do get lost and it is always recorded in that
persons medical notes

Thanks for the idea but

I can't contact the doctor because I don't know where to contact.Even
for the family mmebers livign there, it would be a lot of work.

In our country, in cities like where we lived, as soon as a baby's
birth certificate is issued, the local government nurse - every
subdivision has assigned nurses - comes to the house where the baby
lives and gives immunization in timely fashion. That's the case with
my nephews.

In my time, even my mother had to take us to the local health center,
if any document was given, it's long gone. My mother has been
seriously ill by the time I learned about immuization requirement for
GC application.

I wish someone familiar with US immigration law would answer my
question about what I read on the I-693 form.
