Immigrant Summary and Supplementary Information Form?
I am applying as a Skilled Worker to come to Canada as a permanent
resident. I am a British citizen.
In the CIC website in Canada, there is a London-specific Visa Office
document. This contains a checklist for your application which does
not mention an "Immigrant Summary and Supplementary Information" form.
However, on the High Commission London site, the checklist - which
looks different and also wants you to subdivide your application
documents into numbered sections - does mention this form.
The form itself is four pages long. The first two are the Immigrant
Summary and the second two constitute the Supplementary Information.
The Supplementary Information form starts off quite abruptly with "Is
this your first passport"? Is *what* my first passport? And what does
"first" mean anyway? As a British citizen I have, strictly, had three
passports because each was valid for ten years. Is that one passport
or three passports?
I am puzzled by the discrepancy between the two websites. Obviously, I
want to get the application right so I guess I should fill in this
form. But I don't know how to answer the very first question!
Finally, is it advisable to split the application documents into
numbered sections as specified in (their) checklist, even though it
isn't mentioned in the London-specific Visa Office document issued by
the CIC site?
Help!
Thanks,
Edin

Thanks for the advice, Robert :-) Any ideas how I go about answering
the "Is this your first passport?" question?

For the benefit of those who might also be interested in this
question, the form is
http://www.canada.org.uk/visa-info/f...lled/e_sum.pdf. Your
advice seems reasonable, and I think I will put a note on the form to
explain my answer.
Thanks,
Edin

Always a good idea when the question is a bit odd like that.

Re: Immigrant Summary and Supplementary Information Form?
Just Had a look at the form don't think we had some of those questions when
we did ours about 3 yrs ago.
