Default Ibis or Libertel hotels in Paris that are convenient for tourists?

Are any of these Ibis hotels in Paris convenient for tourists who would be
using public transport, visiting standard tourist sites, and wanting nearby
shops and restaurants? I know many Ibis hotels are located near business
areas or roadways that have little attraction for tourists.

How about Libertel?

(The idea, as you might guess, is to locate some budget Paris hotels that
are conveniently located. The dates for this trip are still highly
speculative, except the trip will not occur in July or August.)

The La Fayette Ibis is very close to the metro, and an easy walk to Gare
du Nord. Although, as far as Ibises (Ibii?) go, it's fairly old and run-down
inside.

The Ibis Cambronne (2 Rue Cambronne) is very near the Metro (Cambronne) and
convenient enough for the tourist sites. Also on a bus route that goes to
the Champs Elysee. Fairly authentic area just south of the Eiffel Tower
(easy walk) and not too expensive. Not so many restruants in the immediate
area, but public transport is good to other central parts of Paris, up to
close of metro.

I have stayed there twice and was very satisfied with the value for money
(included a big breakfast).

My Paris Yellow Pages tell me that there is a Libertel in the Latin Quarter,
9 rue des Ecoles. There is an Ibis in the 9th, near the Opera, at 38 rue
Faubourg Montmartre. There is a Libertel near the Gare du Nord, 12 rue
Denain, and an Ibis near the Gare de l'Es, 197 rue Lafayette. There are a
number of others scattered around town, but to my mind these are the most
central to tourist sites and public transportation, with shops and
restaurants nearby.

Friends of mine stayed in the Libertel Bellechasse near the Musée d'Orsay.
They said the hotel was very nice and well-located, but that the rooms were
quite small.

I've stayed at the Ibis near Gare de l'Est (which is also pretty close
to Gare du Nord). Metro lines a block away in l'Est station. I got
sick while I was there and the staff was very helpful, so I felt I
owed them a plug.

there is an Ibis & 2 mercures in Bercy right ofof the high speed line
14.

Bercy has numerous shops and restaurants (not to mention a lovely park)
and is IMHO a great place to camp out while seeing Paris
