We were in a similar position last November/December. Our I-751 had
been pending since May 2002 and the N-400 interview date was December 1
and still no adjudication of the I-751 from VSC. Fortunately, for us
(using NYC) the approval came in mid-November only two weeks before the
N-400 interview.
Friends of ours using Newark were in your position and
had their N-400 interview scheduled for April 30 and no approval of
their I-751 from VSC which was pending from April, 2002. Here is the
good news:
On the day of their N-400 interview, the I-751 was
adjudicated the same day, Chris passed the test and interview, was
approved and because Newark is one of only two offices to do this, Chris
was sworn in as a citizen the same day.
So, take heart, it will
probably be the same in your case. Go prepared to satisfy the I-751
with all your orginials, etc. and with all your documentation for the
N-400.
