Default I-pproved. Can I file I-485 now.

I have got notification that I-130 for my wife is approved.
How would I know whether Visa is available or not?
And where do I check for the status of visa availability for I-130 cases?.

Can I file I-485 or wait?

USCIS will contact her.

Your wife files the I-485, not you.

Some confusion here. Are you a US citizen or an LPR? Is your wife in the US?

I have a GC and will be eligible for citizenship in December 2007.

My wife is in US.

I need to know whether we should file I-485 now or have to wait?
