Default I am on a TN1, want to marry someone who is visiting Canada but is not Canadian...

Here's my story:
I am a Canadian Citizen working in the US under TN-1 Status.
I wish to marry someone who is not a Canadian but is currently
visiting Canada. She has a valid passport from her country.
I would like to eventually sponsor her (as a Canadian), but in the
meantime can I bring her over the border and have her live with me
under a Trade Dependent status?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
John.

Yes, the TD status is available to citizens of any country. Only the
primary TN holder must be Canadian.

Do be aware that your wife will need a TD visa in her passport from a US
consulate. I would recomemnd using a consulate in Canada; consulates in
her home country may not be familiar with the TD status.
