For the second time:

Go to your passport. Find the page with the stamp. Read what it says.
Does it say something to the effect of "I-751 approved"? If so, then
you can relax that your 751 application was granted. You asked for a
letter, they wouldn't give you one, but the stamp should say exactly
what you asked for.

Congrats Kris.

May I ask which local Ohio office you went to, and whereabouts in OH you
live? PM me with it if you don't want to post it out here.

I'm in the general NEO area and will file my I-751 in May next year. I
think Cleveland will be my local office (from memory - which doesn't
work too well at times lately ).

Crossed in the mail eh?

I think you're good -- I'm pretty sure IR6 is the code for the ten year
green card. My husband's I-751 approval stamp in his passport says
"IR6", and his new ten year card also says "IR6".

Hey Krish Congratulations...I got my approval in Aug-2006 and I went to
my local immigration office (New York )..They took my three pictures and
my old GC and also the letter I recieved from them stating that I am
approved. Also They stamped my passport. Stamp was red and wrote IR6 and
A Number. So you are totally fine and relax and wait for your GC. I have
not recieved that yet. As they say it takes 6 months. I read forum that
few ppl are getting earlier and few letter. ...Raj
